Over the past 7 years, many teachers and administrators from the Diocese of Brooklyn have attended the Celebration of Teaching &LearningThe annual conference was primarily sponsored by WNET Thirteen/WLIW 21 and corporate sponsors.

The two-day conference, originally scheduled for March 8-9, 2013, will not take place and plans are in the works to change the format and delivery of the Celebration of Teaching  Learning conference.   The notice below will be sent to all on WNET’s mailing list in the next few days.

As I receive more information about the programming and formatting changes of Celebration of  Teaching  Learning,  I will continue to keep you posted.  In the meantime, be advised that the program, as we knew it, will not take place in March.

Deputy Superintendent of Schools

Dear Friend of the Celebration,

Thank you for your participation and support over the past seven years as the Celebration of Teaching & Learning has sought to inspire and engage educators from the tri-state area, the country and indeed the world!  And thank you for your continued patience as we have worked to plan the future of the Celebration.

We know you plan well in advance for budget and schedule purposes, so we wanted to let you know that the traditional two-day Celebration event will not take place in March 2013. We are making some strategic programmatic changes that will take better advantage of our broadcast capability. We will keep you up to date as plans evolve.

We hope you’ll join us as we launch our next chapter, and we look forward to partnering with you to inspire, learn, create and deliver content that changes lives. In the meantime, please stay up to date on WNET education initiatives by visiting our free resources, including  American Graduate Get The Math Mission US and  VITAL.

We’ll be back in touch in the New Year – stay tuned!  Happy Holidays!
