Caring for God’s Creations

Reese Powell Grade 8

When people think about caring for God’s creations, what do you think they think about?  Is it just treating the Earth right?  Yes, you should treat the Earth right, but God’s creation is so much more than that!  Every person has a social duty to do what they should do to care for all of God’s creation.  One important way to tend to God’s creation is to protect animals.   Even if it is something little, it will make a difference! Everyone can do something different to protect God’s creatures, and together we can make the world a better place.

To make the world a better place, different people do different things.  One of the best things to do is to set up an event like a beach clean-up.  There are many endangered ocean animals like the sea turtle and the whale shark.   Pollution is a detriment to their environment, according to National Geographic, there are 5.trillion pieces of plastic waste in the ocean.

There are many organizations that help to care for and protect God’s creatures.  There are many zoos and other wildlife organizations that protect animals.  For example when you join the Bronx Zoo, part of your membership goes to helping the animals.  When you visit the zoo you can also learn about endangered animals and how to help them.  You can also make donations at the zoo.  There are many educational programs at the zoo that schools can visit and learn how to protect wildlife.   If everyone helps, these animals will be protected and will not become endangered or extinct.  Even if it is just a little thing, we can all do our part in caring for God’s creations.

It is important to remember that we can all do our part to protect God’s creations.  We might think what we are doing doesn’t make a difference, but if everyone does something, even just a little something, together we will protect everything that God has created and make our world a better place for future generations.
