Dear Elementary School Principals,
As we begin the new year, here is an important reminder from the Safe Environment Office. Please note:
The Child Lures Prevention Program is part of the curriculum for all students in Grades K – 8. Not presenting the program is unacceptable and becomes a serious issue for the USCCB audit. More importantly, participation in the the Child Lures Prevention program is a matter of keeping our students safe. After all, the safety of our students is our primary concern. This program is mandated by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Each year, after the final Child Lures Prevention session is presented, a Child Lures Prevention Compliance Report (Form #SE228S) must be submitted to the Safe Environment Office. PLEASE enter only numbers where requested on this report. These figures are reported for our annual audit. A copy of the Compliance Report is attached for your convenience.
Power point presentations, that can be used on Smartboards, are available in the the Safe Environment folder on DioNet/First Class. Three presentations were posted on 11/13/2013 for Grades K-2, Grades 3-4 and Grades 5-6.
Attached you will also find a series of posters that go along with the Teen Lures TV Newscast School Program for Grades 7-12.
