Without self-control you may not be able to do many things in life. One point in my life, I didn’t have self-control. I was trying my best to do the right thing during class. It turned out that I made a mistake, I listened to what my friends told me to do. I was not able to participate in some things that day in school and even had consequences at home. You should never let others get into your head, even if you think it’s cool. It’s never too late to do the right thing. The second thing you should do is to have self-discipline. You can’t always rely on having everything handed to you and rely on everyone else to discipline you. Self-discipline is important and you should also remember to be confident! But don’t worry, if you feel like you’re pushing yourself too hard, take a rest! The third thing you should practice is self-awareness. Sometimes you have to realize how other people see you. This also means that you have the ability to tune yourself in to your feelings, thoughts and even your actions. Self-awareness is not going to happen the first time you try, it develops overtime. I always kept trying to see how others viewed me but I had to learn how to be aware of myself. Once I started to believe in myself and have confidence, I accomplished self-awareness. The last important thing you should do is to try and have the trait of well-being. You have to make sure that you feel comfortable, safe, happy and healthy. I started to have the trait of well-being as I started to understand how life truly is and as I got older. When you’re a bit too young, it might be a little bit difficult to understand. Here are some easier ways to understand. If you’re a child that is a reasonable age to understand how everything works in life, then here are some examples for you. You should always make sure that you feel comfortable, happy, safe and healthy. If you feel like you’re missing out on any of those things, then don’t be afraid to ask your parents for help or your guardian. When COVID-19 first hit, I realized something was wrong. I brought it to my parents’ attention. It turns out that I had to teach myself to learn to have the trait of well-being. I had to teach myself to make sure I was comfortable with what I was doing or feeling. After teaching myself all of these things, I became kinder, being the bigger person, more self confidence, stronger, and smarter. I hope all of you take these things seriously and always try your best to teach yourself all of these self-care traits.
