Constitution Day and Citizenship Day

September 17th is designated as Constitution Day and Citizenship Day (http://www2.ed.gov/policy/fund/guid/constitutionday.html) and commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1871.  Constitution Day provides an opportunity for students in all types of school settings, including religious and independent schools, to celebrate the founding of our nation.
