NYCAEYC‘s Annual Conference (New York City Association for the Education of Young Children) for early childhood teachers, will take place on Saturday, Feb. 9th.  NYCAEYC is a professional association for educators and professionals who work with children from birth through age 8.   Registration (at a discounted rate) for this conference is ongoing until Feb. 2nd.  After that, you may register at the door on Feb. 8th or 9th.  For more information, see the original posting in the Curriculum folder – New York Association for the Education of Young Children – 12.06/2012.

You may also visit the conference website at:  www.nycaeyc.org and view the conference brochure at: http://nycaeyc.org/forms/ConfBrochure2013_a.pdf

Note:  Teachers who attend the conference on Saturday may use the hours they accrue to apply for Diocesan professional development credit.  Since this conference has been pre-approved all teachers must do is submit a certification of participation from the conference to the Curriculum department.

Follow-up:  On Feb. 12th, there will be a special diocesan workshop facilitated by and for Diocesan Early Childhood Teachers who attended the conference.  The purpose of the workshop will be to share ideas and discuss ways that you could implement what was learned at the conference.
