The Diocesan Technology Committee plans and oversees professional development sessions that help teachers integrate technology throughout the curriculum.
On Friday, June 7th, 2013 at St. Mel School in Flushing, NY from 7:45 AM until 2:45 PM the committee will be hosting a full day training session for classroom teachers. The presentation is on Pixie a creativity software program, from tech4learning.com, that integrates technology and the Common Core Learning Standards. The integration of technology in the curriculum is not something that we should be doing, it is an integral and necessary part of your school’s curriculum. Lunch will be provided to participants.
We recently have been given the opportunity to open this workshop to all schools within the Diocese of Brooklyn. Participation is limited and there is a quick turn round time to register.
Please note that the Office of the Superintendent will provide a stipend of $75/day to reimburse your school for the cost of substitute teacher. Remember, the target audience for this workshop is one or two of your classroom teachers in grades prekindergarten through grade 5.
To register, or for more information, email Jule Mansour at email@example.com on or before Friday, May 31, 2013.
