Summer Professional Development Opportunities for Middle and Junior HIgh School Teachers: Cornell University Professional Development Opportunity–Summer 2013 Ithaca, New York

SEPA-ASSET (Advancing Secondary Science Education) at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York is proud to provide high-quality professional development opportunities to Elementary, Middle and High School Educators!

If you teach biology related courses—in any state—you are invited to join us this summer and learn more about our favorite, single-celled protozoa, Tetrahymena thermophila, and how you can use this organism to teach multiple educational standards.

We are also offering simultaneous workshops for social studies teachers interested in curriculum addressing the increasingly important intersection of Biology and Society. Please share the Social Studies workshop flyer with your colleagues teaching social studies, history, government, or civics related courses. We are especially interested in applications from teams of science and social studies teachers interested in developing a co-curriculum approach to biology and society.
